ISO 9001 certification
The ISO 9001 standard establishes requirements in relation to companies’ quality management systems. Companies operating on the international market are increasingly opting to develop and implement systems to manage all factors relating to quality, given that quality management procedures have contributed to improving their performance and customer satisfaction..
With this in mind, Traductanet has adapted its existing internal quality management procedures, with the aim of optimising its translation services. It has adapted these procedures to meet the formal requirements of the ISO 9001 standard, resulting in a more consolidated system.
Traductanet was recognised for its efforts in 2001 when, for the first time, its quality management system was certified in accordance with the ISO 9001 standard. From that time, right up until the present day, this honour has always been successfully renewed. This has been achieved through successive recertification processes, affirming the company’s continued commitment to abide by the highest quality standards, as defined by ISO standards.
ISO 17100 certification
The ISO 17100 standard was published in 2015, establishing new requirements for translation services. This was to make sure that the sector provides high quality services.
The standard sets out definitions and describes a wide range of concepts relating to the translation industry. It also lists requirements for the wide range of tasks and activities within the overall translation process. This includes the various skills that all those involved in the process (i.e. project managers, translators, revisers) should have, including linguistic, organisational and computer skills.
Constantly aiming to improve its services and serve its clients better, Traductanet received its second certification in accordance with the ISO 17100 standard.
This certification represents the formal recognition of Traductanet’s already existing quality policies, which have been developed over time. Indeed, the company already had an organisational structure, as well as well-established operational and management procedures.
